Something wonderful about starting a family has been thinking about traditions and a family culture of our very own. When we celebrated the 4th of July in Parowan with “Nai & Popop” it instantly felt like tradition material. Feeling the freedom of the open country, riding into the mountains, the parade, fire works, bon fires, family time and everything that makes a small town feel like freedom in a cup. This was our third year enjoying the 4th in Parowan with 2019’s already on the calendar. I think we’ve got a solid family tradition going here!! ❤
“My daddy served in the army
Toby Kieth
Where he lost his right eye
But he flew a flag out in our yard
‘Til the day that he died
He wanted my mother, my brother, my sister and me
To grow up and live happy
In the land of the free”
Popop took the boys fishing and Nai took the girls shopping. Some of us bowled while a certain adorable human tickled the bowling ball down the kiddy ramp. More water fights, throwing smoke bombs and eating ice cream at the duck pond commenced while the big boys headed up the canyon to set some trails cams for this years hunt. Jes indulged us with two nights of knee slapping family stories around the bonfire with the milky way glowing it’s majestic blanket across the perfectly dark sky. Family time in Parowan is simply heavenly.
